On May 28^th, 2008, The Zhangjiang Pharma Valley Forum focusing on biotech innovation and entrepreneurship was held at Zhangjiang. Co-organized by CBA and PDBPA, The Forum has attracted over 100 CBA members as well as over 20 entrepreneur overseas Chinese students to participate. Leaders from the overseas Chinese affairs office of the state council, Shanghai oversease Chinese affair office as well as the Zhangjiang hi-tech park Leaders committee were at the present of the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. The forum includes several keynote speeches and panel discussion. Mr. Greenwood, the president of BIO was invited to visit Zhangjiang during the forum period. The organizer is seeking the possibility to hold BIO conference at zhangjiang in the near future. A seminar was held earlier to encourage more overseas Chinese to start business at Zhangjiang. Some participants have already initiated the idea of starting business after the seminar.
